Birdworld first opened its doors to the public in 1968 and was run as a family business by Roy Harvey, his wife and children. Throughout the next 28 years the park grew in size and a children’s farm and aquarium were added.
Birdworld has over 2,000 birds and other animals! There are so many fantastic friends to meet at Birdworld. The farm is home to everything fluffy and furry from guinea pigs and rabbits to goats, sheep and even reindeer.
And in the aquarium we have crocodiles, piranha and seahorses as well as lots of unusual marine species. Find out more about our residents, from how they live both in the wild and here at the park to what they like for breakfast.
