At The Blue Bell Inn we offer a comfortable space in which to meet friends and socialise. We’ve developed a reputation for delivering fine food at reasonable prices under the watchful eye of owner Giles and head chef Tyler Brooks. We pride ourselves on the quality of the food at The Blue Bell, with it all being made in house, and using local suppliers wherever possible which helps support the local economy.

Drink at The Blue Bell
The Blue Bell is well known for providing locally sourced ales, such as the original Dark Star from their micro-brewery in Brighton, or Sharp’s Doom Bar, a staple on tap. We have a rotating range of up & coming beers for you to try, such as favourites from Staggeringly Good.
Prefer a wine or spirit? We’ve got you covered. We have paired with Heritage Cellars to provide a comprehensive wine list with favourites from around the world, and closer to home at Hambledon Vineyard. Spirits behind the bar include the Isle of Wight Distillery, Twisted Nose, and Tarquin’s Dry Gin, all mixed with premium Fever Tree tonic.
If you are looking for a light refreshment after a day of walking around Emsworth, we also stock South Downs Water and Hill Farm Apple Juice. The Hartridges orange juice is also strongly recommended with our breakfast menu.
Lovely pub. I’ve been coming to this pub for 30 years and it’s always been a friendly place with good beer.

Great pub food
We are proud to use high quality local produce in our dishes. Our meat comes freshly prepared by M.R. Starr Butchers, only 200m away from the Blue Bell! We are well known for our fish dishes, and we owe this to the amazing suppliers we have nearby. This includes Chalk Stream Foods – fresh rainbow trout from the Riven Itchen, and Browns Seafood, one of London’s largest specialist seafood suppliers.
Choosing high quality dairy products are also very important in making our dishes, and these come from High Weald Dairy, a small but passionate team of cheesemakers.
Proud to buy local
The Blue Bell is proud to be part of the Emsworth community, and we are big supporters of the businesses around us.
Other local businesses we promote include Emsworth Business Association; a group of around 100 other business members, Emsworth Deli – our local deli stocking over 60 varieties of cheese and plenty of advice. Hampshire Farmers’ Markets is also a great event to visit, showcasing local produce every month in the square.
We are grateful to the Love Your Pub group, who have taken amazing photographs of the food in the Blue Bell, and continually showcase small local pubs.
