Owner Giles recently visited the brand new Hive Gym in Southbourne to check out their modern facilities, he’s written up his experience below:

“So I did a thing this morning jumped out of my comfort zone to Southbourne today to try out the newest gym Hive Fitness! This is not my sort of training I like the comfort of training alone with nobody watching! But this was a friendly experience which pushed me, and took into consideration that I am still recovering from injury!

HIVE 2.0 in Southbourne is the ultimate fitness facility. With state of the art equipment, a variety of classes for all abilities, spacious changing & shower facilities and communal area, HIVE 2.0 offers a bigger and better gym for you to train in and reach your fitness goals.

This morning’s class was Strength & conditioning which is the core of Hives philosophy. Classes are based on a strength and conditioning programme to help build and maintain an amazing level of fitness, strength and wellbeing. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced athlete, the classes are scalable and suitable to all levels of fitness regardless of age and fitness background.

James was helpful and talked me through the class, no pressure, ensuring my Deadlift 🏋️‍♂️ was spot on, and ensuring that I was comfortable with weights and techniques.

It was a good mix of strength & high intensity! A very sweaty start to the day, I would highly recommend so maybe see you tomorrow morning 7am!”
