The Oystermen started strong with an early goal from Jake Lynch on the edge of the box. But not long after FFC find the net from a corner, a very close first half ended level with Emsworth having a lot of work to do.
In the second half FFC had a fair bit of the ball and Emsworth were picking their moments to catch them on the counterattack. A lovely bit of play from Micheal Cunningham put darting George Rough through 1 on 1 with the keeper and slotting it home to put Emsworth in the lead. Later on, Town are starting to really control this game and saw our lead double with a classy Elliot Hogg dink. A worrying last ten minutes as FFC score from a corner and Emsworth had to really dig deep to see ourselves through. Full time whistle blows and a 3-2 win sees Emsworth Town advance to the semi final of the London Cup.
